MAYBEyou had thought that by not getting a permit, that you could save money, avoid all the government 'red tape' and thinking that the money you are investing is adding value to your home. Great idea but it's not true at allbut you just got turned in by a neighbor or the Building Inspector just drove by or even stopped to investigate...Oh boy!
MAYBEyou hired a good contractor but a good one pulls permits for the owner (however in doing so the contractor will also be in trouble for working without the needed permit) but maybe the contractor wasn't that good after all. You failed to install smoke and CO detectors as per code, maybe the windows in the bedrooms are not meeting Egress, maybe the light and vent calculations are not meeting code, maybe the bathroom fixture clearances don't meet code, maybe the plumbing was done improperly....maybe the electrical work is substandard.... What will happen now?
MAYBEyou had someone draw the plans for your project but the contractor never really got the permit. They told you they did but you find out after you paid them another draw and they didn't come back to finish. Then you find out that there was never a permit obtained. I can see this is going to be expensive!

DO YOU HAVE AN UNPERMITTED ADDITION OR STRUCTURE WITH A BUILDING CODE VIOLATION?
MAYBE IT IS TOO CLOSE TO A PROPERTY LINE?
MAYBE IT IS TOO LARGE PER YOUR ZONING REGULATIONS?
MAYBE YOU ARE TRYING TO REFINANCE YOUR HOME AND THE APPRAISER NOTICED IMPROVEMENTS/ADDITIONS WERE MADE THAT REQUIRED PERMITS AND THEY FOUND NO PERMITS WERE OBTAINED VIA COUNTY RECORDS.
NOW WHAT DO YOU DO?
MAYBE YOU ARE TRYING TO SELL YOUR HOME, THINKING THAT ALL THE MONEY THAT YOU INVESTED IN IMPROVEMENTS/ADDITIONS IS NOW WORTH SOME MONEY BUT THE BUYER FINDS THAT NO PERMITS WERE OBTAINED IN DOING SO. YOU FIND OUT THAT IT IS ALL WORTH NOTHING UNTIL IT IS PROPERLY PERMITTED TO VALIDATE ANY INCREASED WORTH. DID YOU GET TURNED IN BY YOUR NEIGHBOR BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T GET A BUILDING PERMIT?
DID YOU REALLY THINK THAT BY NOT GETTING A PERMIT THAT YOU COULD SAVE MONEY?
Regardless of the reason, we can help you deal with the Building Department. We can provide plans necessary to comply with their requirements. In some cases, structures are torn down or areas of any completed structures are opened up so Building Inspectors can verify that the work was done correctly.
As long as there are no major issues, building permits can be obtained with no problem.
So if you have received a letter in the mail from Building Code Enforcement or if you had a Building Official stop by and talk with you, a simple call to ALL-PRO HOME SERVICES is all you need to do.
I admit that the Building Officials can be intimidating but don't be afraid and by all means, don't be offensive to them. You must realize that the problem started with you or by those you hired/trusted but we can help you get through this tough time.

When you call us, we will come out to your home, listen to you regarding issues that have created the current problem and review any documents that have been provided by the municipality. Once we have an assessment of issues that need to be addressed, we take photographs of the work that's been done, take the measurements of the existing home or building along with any addition that may have been done. We will then put together the necessary construction documents which may include: Structural engineering & energy reports (if required) then submit them to the appropriate Building Department. We even contact the Code Enforcement Officer to let them know that we are working with you. In this manner, they will know that you are taking care of the Code Violation and have a qualified company to assist you.
Once we have completed a set of plans, we can for a nominal fee, submit them for a permit on your behalf. It is better if you submit the paperwork to save this expense.
