CONCEPTUAL DESIGN PROCESS

CONCEPTUAL DESIGN PROCESS

Every project begins with a comprehensive client information checklist, allowing us to fully understand your goals, preferences, and overall vision. Once this information is collected, the design process begins with the development of a site plan and a preliminary floor plan with observational notes. Key factors such as property geography, utility locations, and applicable site constraints are carefully reviewed to ensure the project can be built within required parameters, even when restrictions are present.

After all site-related considerations have been addressed and the site plan, floor plan, and elevations are approved, the design process moves forward. At this stage, a preliminary, unrefined 3D model is created. Depending on the design agreement, these 3D views represent the core of the in-house design process prior to any required engineering. The conceptual designs bring all prior steps together, allowing clients to review 3D and elevation views and gain a clear visual understanding of what was once only an idea.

All designs are created with buildability in mind and are developed in accordance with current building codes and municipal regulations specific to the project location. Once the design has been refined and a final selection approved, construction documents are prepared. If engineering services are required, all necessary engineered drawings will be provided.
